Short-Term Goals
In the short term, I would like to be the glue that holds my community together. I strive to be the person who brings students, colleagues, and leaders together and out of their shells. I would sacrifice anything to see every student at IIT well connected and sinking their roots into the university’s ground, to grow and let others grow. I want to develop my own style of leadership and self-discipline to sustain me no matter what path or project I want to pursue. I want to leave small organizations I am in, like IIT’s Chemistry Club, thriving for students who come after me. I hope that they can spend less time picking up the pieces and more time growing and benefiting their peers around them. I want to network with people completely out of my future pathways and comfort zones in order to gain a new perspective on what success can look like in all aspects of life. I hope to inspire my peers and professors to try new things and take risks that will improve our overall experience and education here at IIT. Throughout my IIT journey, my advocacy as an RA, and leadership in my clubs, I hope I become someone worthy of being a pharmacy student.
Long-Term Goals
In the long term, I would like to be a pharmacist who grows to own his own pharmacy. I want to be a beacon of hope for those in my community and make treatment more available for all. I’d like the doors of my business to be the ones to wellness and sweet relief for all those battling ailment in life. Particularly, I want to improve drug treatment for those cancer patients, as I have lost many of my own family members to it. I want to give back to the Middle Eastern communities that raised me and improve their cancer treatment options. I yearn to have future mentees who are driven towards the same goals. I love to teach and would eventually like to go back to academia once I have found my success in order to share my wealth of knowledge with the world. I also yearn to have a large family and be the same glue to my neighborhood and community as I once was in college as an RA and a peer. After achieving sustainable financial independence and self-leadership, I would strive to be a great role model and mentor to future generations in my free time.

Biochemistry – May 2026
Short-Term Goals
I am striving to work towards becoming a better and more effective leader in academic, athletic, professional, and personal realms of my life. I want to continue to stay involved in the groups and teams I already am a part of such as research, clubs, and sports while looking to step outside of my comfort zone to take a more active role in student organizations to get to know my peers better, make lasting friendships, expand my knowledge base in areas I am not as familiar with, and make the most out of my four years of undergrad. I want to be more involved in extracurriculars to further my interest in the health care and sciences field as a Pre-Med student and to apply the knowledge I am acquiring in my classes to practical and real world problems and situations. I hope to be courageous, determined, and focused everyday in an effort to better myself and prepare me for my goals after graduation. I want to push myself to go beyond the bare minimum in my classes, learning in a style that will allow me to retain information past graduation and to come to class with an open mind, willingness to learn, and sense of gratitude everyday. In the next two and a half years, I hope to graduate Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and minor in Applied Math and prepare myself for Medical School. I hope to put all of my efforts together, absorbing as much knowledge and understanding in my classes to fully showcase my abilities on the MCAT in order to prepare a competitive application for Medical School. I hope to gain more experience in my prospective career field by volunteering, shadowing, and gaining clinical experience while I am still an undergrad.
Long-Term Goals
My career goal is to become a surgeon. Currently, I have strong interests in trauma and emergency medicine and general/internal medicine. My biggest dream is to attend Medical School after graduation at a well-respected, competitive, and compassionate institution to prepare me for residency. As an attending, I hope to provide comfort, support, and treatment to patients during what could be the scariest moments of their life. I strive to be a compassionate, patient, and empathetic physician to best serve my patients, but also everyday with all those I come into contact with which I believe will bring me the sense of fulfillment I hope to feel once my education and training is complete. I hope to use my status as an MD, board-certified physician to help the next generation of Pre-Med students accomplish their goals in the same way my mentors are helping me achieve my goals right now by providing them with the opportunities to advance their career I am hoping to have myself. This includes supporting the following generations of undergraduate students, Medical students, and residents. Working in a position where I can educate and serve is of the utmost importance to me. I want to stay up to date with all of the latest findings and medical advances in order to provide the best care to my patients and leave a lasting impact on those I work with. In my personal life, I hope to continue to take care of my own health by staying physically active. My goal is to join an adult rec soccer league, explore/hike/camp through the country's national parks, and to travel the world.

Computer Science - 2028
Short-Term Goals
Starting as a freshman, I want to make meaningful connections with people around me who will inspire me to constantly push my limits and become the best version of myself. There is so much to learn, and I am excited to embrace the challenge! Exploring Chicago is another thing I can't wait to do. I want to participate in Chicagoan traditions like polar plunge and dyeing lake Michigan green. In terms of my career, I want to gain as much experience and knowledge as I can in the diverse fields of computer science. I want to explore niche fields within computer science like space exploration and formula 1 racing. Beyond my career, I look forward to traveling. Some of the countries I am very excited to visit are - Japan, Korea, Qatar, Switzerland, France and my favorite Italy. Why is Italy my favorite you ask? Well, because they serve ice cream for breakfast! It's an Italian delicacy called Brioche con Gelato(a brioche bun stuffed with gelato).
Long-Term Goals
I aspire to go into research within the field of quantum computers. Currently, quantum computers run on 127 qubits (qubits are a superposition of 0 and 1!), and I hope to increase that amount with my efforts. As exciting as it is, I don't want to confine myself solely to research. Quantum computing is an ever-evolving field, and I want to apply my knowledge in other areas such as automobiles and aviation, staying true to my interdisciplinary curiosity. My long-term vision is to give back to my community by opening charitable organizations and supporting marginalized communities. I also hope to develop open-source software and provide it to charter schools in Chicago. In short, my goal is to lend a helping hand wherever it's needed. On a more personal end, I want to be a well rounded person who is grateful and satisfied with where she is. I want to make the most of every opportunity that comes my way, enjoy the little (and big) things and live in the present.

Mechanical Engineering - May 2027
Short-Term Goals
My short-term goal is to improve my leadership skills and focus on my academic career. As a first-year student I want to learn how to be more involved in the IIT community and give back to it, which is something I’ll be able to do with my leadership skills. I’m excited for my first year and want to get the most I can out of my classes, and I continue to work towards my engineering career. I’m also involved in lots of service organizations in the Chicago area and run my own non-profit organization and will be able to apply my leadership skills to bettering my community.
Long-Term Goals
My long-term goal is to graduate with my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical engineering and design roller coasters. I have wanted to design roller coasters since I was 9 and I’m really excited to be taking another step in my academic career to reach that goal! I specifically would like to work at a company called Rocky Mountain Construction that designed cutting edge roller coasters. The innovation of design is very interesting to me, and I can’t wait to be involved in that process.
Another goal of mine is to grow my non-profit to new heights! I want to gain more National partnerships so that I can take my organization to the next level and reach more people in my work of destigmatizing asthma. I want every child to feel like they can use their inhaler without being ashamed. Hopefully long term I will be able to make a significant dent in the number of kids and teens who experience the stigma of asthma every day.

Architecture - 2027
Short-Term Goals
My short-term goals are to better balance college and my personal life while being kinder to myself in understanding that long-term goals are named so, because they take time to accomplish. Excelling academically is always a priority as it is a stepping stone into my career; however, I shouldn’t feel like what I’m working on in school now will completely determine my success in the future. Furthermore, I believe it is important to invest in parts of my life outside of classes, like being a brother in Delta Tau Delta, being involved in Jewish life on campus, and making time to explore Chicago. More than opportunities to network, these moments are part of my college experience, and they allow me to cultivate relationships with friends that I intend to keep in my life long after graduation.
Long-Term Goals
My long-term goals are to choose a place to live that satisfies both my personal life and my career, and to develop my architecture skills to a point where I can make a positive influence in the World. I may not be sure what I want to specialize in yet, but I know I’m passionate about how design can positively impact the daily lives of people, how it can literally shape the way we interact with each other. I want to one day found an architecture practice based on this ethic of using space to build more loving and welcoming environments, and to do so somewhere surrounded by people that make me happy.

Short-Term Goals
Currently, I want to focus on making the most of the opportunities in front of me to grow both technically and professionally by taking full advantage of every class to build a solid foundation for my future career and work toward crucial and challenging certifications like the FE, PE, and SE. My goal is to dive deeper into sustainable practices in the construction industry, focusing on ways to reduce environmental impact, particularly through sustainable materials and the implementation of new technologies like the use of drones for construction inspections or AI in the creation of rendered graphics that facilitate construction visualization. This involves broadening my portfolio with real-world experience through internships, excelling academically, and connecting with professionals in the industry, professors, and mentors from organizations like the National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the Illinois Aggregate Producers Association (IAAP). These opportunities will help me expand my professional network, and stay up-to-date with the industry.
Long-Term Goals
I aspire to contribute to infrastructure development that prioritizes sustainability and serves communities all over the world. After gaining real-world experience and completing my certifications, I plan to build a company that creates long-lasting systems that reduce the environmental impact of construction—from foundation design to greener alternatives for facades—working alongside other engineers, architects, contractors, and professionals from multiple fields who share my vision and bring multiple areas of expertise to every project.
Higher education has been a transformative experience for me, and I want to help others gain access to this life-changing opportunity that has improved my life tremendously. I envision creating scholarships and mentorship programs that connect low-income students with companies and professionals in various fields, helping them navigate their own paths.
Ultimately, my goal is to not only be technically skilled but also to feel fulfilled by the impact I’m making in my career and in the communities I serve. I want to continuously grow, staying connected to people and ideas that drive positive change, and work alongside others who share my commitment to reducing the environmental impact of construction.

By joining student organizations such as Eco-Car and the Leadership Academy, I’m learning to collaborate with students from various majors and backgrounds. This exposure to diverse viewpoints is helping me grow as a leader and team player, skills I know will be invaluable in my future career.
Long-Term Goals
My long-term goal is to become a corporate lawyer in Chicago, and I plan to attend Kent Law School to pursue this path. I will build a strong foundation during law school by working as an associate or paralegal at a law firm, gaining hands-on experience in corporate law. These experiences will give me insights into the industry and help me develop the practical skills needed to thrive as a lawyer.
In addition to law school, I aim to secure internships in Chicago during my undergraduate studies to start building my professional network early. These roles will expose me to the legal field, allow me to learn from experienced professionals, and prepare me for a successful career. Ultimately, I plan to establish myself as a respected corporate lawyer, helping businesses navigate complex legal challenges and contributing to Chicago's legal community.

Short-Term Goals
In the remainder of my time at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, I want to continue to hold myself to the highest standards of academic excellence. My academics have always been extremely important to me, and I strive to perform well in everything I do. Alongside academic performance, creating strong relationships and connections with my peers and professors is something I would like to work to maintain and improve in my remaining time. I would like to continue to take advantage of the opportunities this school presents, and remain involved in as many extracurriculars as I can. My positions in Women in STEM as well as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee have allowed me to grow both personally and professionally and has allowed me to connect with many students outside of my major and typical day-to-day life. In the coming years, I would like to become more involved in different organizations across campus. I am grateful for the experiences and connections these organizations have brought me and I look forward to creating many more in the years to come.
Long-Term Goals
After graduation, I plan to work in the architecture and construction industry, ideally as an architect or a project manager. My experiences so far at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ have opened my eyes to both fields, and I’m looking forward to the opportunities ahead in my career. It is a goal of mine to work in a place and company where I can serve communities and people of all different backgrounds and needs. Mechanical Engineering - May 2026
Short-Term Goals
In the short term, my focus is on immersing myself in the practical aspects of my mechanical engineering degree. Coming from Nigeria, where I've predominantly engaged in theoretical studies, I am eager to gain hands-on experience. Additionally, I aim to broaden my horizons by learning different languages, including Spanish, French, and German. This linguistic diversity will enhance my ability to effectively communicate with a broader range of people to help better understand their problems and hopefully provide impactful solutions. I also aspire to build meaningful connections at university, reaching beyond my usual circles to meet new people who inspire and challenge me. I also want to immerse myself in diverse experiences, stepping boldly out of my comfort zone to discover new interests, perspectives, and opportunities that will help shape who I am and who I want to become.
Long-Term Goals
Looking ahead, I plan to secure internships and eventually a position in a prominent robotics or automobile company. While gaining valuable knowledge and experience, I aspire to transition into entrepreneurship. Although I envision starting my own companies, I recognize the importance of learning from established firms. I am also considering a potential master's degree in business to broaden my expertise.
Also, I envision returning to Nigeria to make a meaningful impact. I aspire to establish an automobile company, reducing the need for car imports. Simultaneously, I aim to contribute to space exploration by creating a space station in Nigeria. These ventures are not only driven by innovation but also by a desire to uplift my country economically. I intend to use the generated revenue to support education, enhance Nigerian universities, and unlock the creative potential within the country. Additionally, I plan to take care of my parents who have supported my education. Finally, fulfilling a personal passion, I aim to start my own animation media company, blending my love for motion pictures with entrepreneurial endeavors.

Major and Graduation: Aerospace Engineering – May 2026
Short-Term Goals
My short-term goals and my career/long-term goals are intertwined in the sense that there will come a time when some of my life goals will give rise to my career goals. This is because I need to accomplish my short-term goals before I can properly achieve my career/long-term goals. In the case of my life goals, my short-term goals are mostly school-related. My short-term goals are, firstly, to cope with and get through the first year of university with a nice experience. I want to have a good memory of my start in college, both academically and people-wise. I want to be able to develop better leadership skills while working with the Leadership Academy. Throughout my life, I haven’t had much experience leading people and one of the reasons why I joined the Leadership Academy was so that it could teach me how to do it the right way. So I really hope to add that to my skill set pretty soon.
Long-Term Goals
For my long-term life goals, firstly, I want to be able to graduate from Illinois Institute of Technology with a first class in Aerospace Engineering, to get a good and steady job as an Aerospace Engineer, probably somewhere other than the United States seeing as I’m an international student. Secondly, after getting a good job, I want to retire my parents and take care of them. Possibly move them from Nigeria to a nice part of the world where they can enjoy the rest of their days. Then I look towards getting a Master’s degree in Aerospace engineering after a few years of work possibly. Maybe, I’ll even come back to IIT to take the program. Lastly, I would like to start my own orphanage or better still start a foundation to take care of orphans in Nigeria. I once did volunteer service at an orphanage and I was touched by the experience so I hope to contribute more to that aspect of society. I look towards starting my own aircraft manufacturing line in the far future. However, I can’t say more about that plan for now.

Architecture - May 2027
Short-Term Goals
Starting with my academic career I intend to graduate with my architectural degree and minor in structural engineering. Along the way I intend to continue being a part of student organizations. Being involved has been my way of making connections with people at different points in their architecture studies. Working towards the minor in structural engineering has allowed me to meet many students from other majors in my classes, it has also taught me how to be organized with my time and future classes I need to plan.
Long-Term Goals
After I graduate from IIT I intend to become a licensed architect and work towards a Master of Architecture. With this wealth of education, I plan to travel and work on projects all around the world. By learning from different architects and working in locations with different climate restrictions and design challenges I believe it will allow me to become a well-rounded designer and person. As I move forward in my career I hope to open a firm with an interest in environmentally friendly technology in building and materials. With this firm I hope to also provide mentorship and other event opportunities for young people to find their way in the design world. With unique experiences I plan to become better at approaching challenges, speaking professionally, and being confident in my ideas.

Short-Term Goals
My short-term goals are driven by a commitment to continuous improvement and growth, aiming to make incremental progress each day. With a strong passion for strategy and venture capital, I am focused on securing a summer internship at a leading strategy consulting firm and obtaining the position of Venture Partner at Dorm Room Fund, a student-managed venture firm. Within these spaces, I’ve been inspired by industry thought leaders who have cultivated personal brands built on quality and consistency, and I aim to do the same by sharing valuable insights and resources through regular LinkedIn posts and Medium blog entries.
As I work to expand Chicago’s entrepreneurial community, I plan to increase my networking efforts to form meaningful connections with trailblazers across industries and eventually host events that foster collaboration and engagement across the city. On a personal and academic level, I am committed to stepping out of my comfort zone this school year. Having experienced the growth that comes from embracing discomfort and new experiences, I want to take advantage of the limited time in college by pursuing new opportunities, whether that means starting a small business project, building relationships with unfamiliar faces, or engaging with other driven and passionate students to help them with their goals. Additionally, I recognize the importance of maintaining my health and well-being, which means prioritizing focus, getting sufficient rest, and staying consistent with a fun and engaging workout routine.
Long-Term Goals
At the core of everything I do is a desire to build a lasting, positive legacy while empowering those around me to bring their best selves forward, embracing growth, change, and progress as we work toward our goals. After graduating from ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, I aim to secure a full-time role in strategy consulting or venture capital, where I can sharpen my expertise in scaling businesses and solving complex challenges. With a long-term vision of launching my own business or investment fund, I am committed to strengthening Chicago’s venture ecosystem and positioning it as a global hub for founders and investors, on par with New York and Silicon Valley.
Alongside these ambitions, I aspire to travel the world, work on meaningful business deals that positively impact those who trust me in leadership, and live out unique, storybook experiences while keeping life fun and engaging. I believe that the dreams we have are meant to be achieved, and by dreaming big and working toward those dreams, I want to inspire and empower the next generation of visionary leaders to pursue their own paths with their unique backgrounds, skillsets, and ambitions.

Architecture – May 2029
Short-Term Goals
I am a slave to the positive feedback loop. Whenever a new habit forms, it’s an obsession. This is a double-edged sword, for I can easily be possessed by any habit—good or bad—such as perfectionism and workaholism. They both get quality work done, but they also do an excellent job at making sure that I don’t have a life…and procrastinate in unhealthy bursts. This will only backfire in the form of a burnout during my 5 years here; therefore, I plan to set realistic schedules for myself to balance work and life. This will help me understand intuitively the amount of time I should allot to myself and professional or academic work. It is also through this improvement that will inform how my future self in more effectively managing myself in the pursuit of different roles spread out across my degree: student ambassador, resident advisor, intern at different architectural companies, and varying roles at different organizations.
Long-Term Goals
My long-term goal is ever-changing; however, I have one consistent virtue: the desire to impact. Whether it be through minimal or impressive scales of impact, I believe in the power of meaningful influence on other people. To do so, I plan to involve myself in various committees and communities in and out of campus, indulging in projects and events that contribute a positive change to my area of influence. Additionally, in the future, I plan to design unrestrictive, urban living spaces that can tackle the overcrowding and global housing crisis after gaining my architectural license. Spaces should not only exist for survival–they should foster growth and allow people to thrive. For both public and private spaces, I plan to initiate and/or cooperate with initiatives to slowly introduce convenient living and commercial spaces in the same environment that can foster a higher density without abolishing breathing rooms. Once again, my goals will always change, but the altruism ingrained in me will guide my future.

Short-Term Goals
My short-term goal would be to get the maximum amount of knowledge from my architectural pursuits in Chicago. It was Vitruvius who said that an architects education should entail practice and theory in equal amounts, and so to complement my education at IT l am very eager to work in Chicago beyond the capacity of just a student and work with professionals in the field of the architecture and design, to learn them while developing my own style, as a designer.
Long-Term Goals
My long-term goal would be to become a well-rounded human being, this purpose, although vague, forms the overarching philosophy which ties together all my goals. On the personal front, I want to give back to those who have made me and be present physically and emotionally whenever they need me, while on the professional front, I want to establish my own architectural practice in my hometown and address the broad and diverse issues gripping the world.
